Arcing gently from the earth in concert with the contours and hues of the landscape, the TarraWarra Museum of Art is Australia’s first privately funded public art museum.
“At TarraWarra the affect [abstract/rational] dissolves certainties, dislocates form and space and sets visitors in a dream-like state. Within this state, contemplation of meaning comes more naturally to the whole of human intelligence – its synthesising as well analysing capabilities. I suspect that this going to be a much loved liminal space for experiencing the art of a city region.”
Leon van Schaik AO, Professor of Architecture, RMIT
