An untreated heavy timber façade borrows from old beachside structures, of weathered piers, boatyards and beach sheds.
Apertures frame views from the inside out and the outside in.
This light and natural extension to a modest beach escape is designed to preserve its light footprint and prime position overlooking Louttit.
A steep descent follows into levels of living, sleeping and retreating. An internal courtyard offers protection from coastal wind. Landscaping articulates every level.
Each step down is a movement deeper into the retreat, a true coastal immersion.
