Signs of life at every turn…

This new form in heritage surrounds disrupts the model of the monolithic apartment block. A careful study of the contemporary apartment.

A concealed pedestrian porte cochère adds a visual framework for the façade. Golden-mouthed mail boxes sing, not simply collect.

A double height “street” looking west through the centre of the building brings an amplified sense of space to the entry.

A lively and layered connection between the street and the apartments creates a sense of refuge and prospect.

A rear, contemplative garden enlivens the interior “street” views and gives a sense of circulation through the building.

Sculptor Peter Cole wall lights suggest precious stones left by an excavation. Golden door knobs, handmade, tactile, raw, elemental.
